Top 5 Makeup Products under Rs. 500 ($5)

9.14.2012

Since I'm a university student, I'm always on some sort of a budget and I'm assuming that most of my readers are too since I never review any high-end brands as such. I thought it would be a good idea to compile a list of all the cheap on-a-budget-products that I have used and loved and share them with you guys.

Review-MUA Undressed Palette

9.11.2012

Looking for THE neutral palette of the moment? Hurry up and get your hands on MUA's Undressed Palette! It's the perfect blend of neutrals, shimmers, mattes and a few darker shades that would not disappoint in smoking out your eye look!

Now where do I even begin with about this palette? I ordered it off just4girls.pk a while back and I've been LOVING it to say the least. All the shimmery colors are very pigmented, the mattes on the other hand are a disappointment, but they show up a bit better on the eyes compared to the swatches. Although the shadows are powdery/chalky and little specs of it get everywhere on the palette, I haven't really noticed any fallout when I apply it over my eye lids using patting motions. The packaging is simple and sleek so its very travel friendly, and unlike the cheap plastic used on Rimmel's Stay Matte, the plastic here feels much better quality, I'd compare it with the Color Studio Professional packaging.

This palette has been compared alot to the Urab Decay Naked Palette, and although I don't have that personally, I've seen comparisons online and they're literally almost the same colors except the price tag for this is much more pocket-friendly. If you're looking for a neutral palette, or are starting out with makeup and don't want to (a) spend alot of money (b) go all out with your eye looks then this palette is the perfect choice for you!

Review-Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer & Highlighter

9.07.2012

I love reading tons and tons of blogs, and one of the main reasons for that is whenever I go out to buy a product I tend to buy something that has always gotten positive reviews. Now obviously this doesn't work always since different skin tones/textures etc makes the products work differently on everyone. So did the much hyped about Rimmel Match Perfection concealer work for me or not?

Yes it did! I'm not gonna bore you guys with a long review since this has been talked about loads! I totally agree with all the positive things that have been written about this, it brightens up your under eye areas really well, conceals as much under eye circle darkness as one can with the help of a makeup products and it stays put for 4-5 hours after you've set it with a powder. I've been using this religiously since I got it about 2 months back, and 1/3rd of it is left so I will be popping into a store soom to get a back up. The shade I use is Soft Beige it is a tad bit lighter than my skin tone which helps in the highlighting part. I use this particularly for my under eye, but I've used it for a few tiny blemishes on my forehead and it worked in concealing those very well too! All in all, its a winner for me!
